During graduate school, Max has worked with the National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center, the University of California Carbon Neutrality Initiative, and the Environmental Defense Fund. He currently holds a research apprenticeship on estimating population health and displacement impacts from recent wildfires with the Demographic Research Unit in the California Department of Finance.
