Jaime Ramirez-Cuellar is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Economics at the University of California, Santa Barbara. His research interests lie in the fields of Econometrics and Labor Economics. His research focuses on methods to evaluate government programs and policies. He is confident that his research will help policymakers to design and implement better public policies. As part of his dissertation, his job market paper interrogates whether and how the effect of a policy program varies across people. At the Broom Center, he is currently interested in causal identification in population economics and migration.
