I am a PhD student in the economics department at UCSB. I graduated from the University of Florida with a BA in economics and from the University of Colorado Denver with a MA in economics. My research interests include spatial econometrics, public health, and urban economics. One current project looks at the impact of changes in weather on malaria rates and the effectiveness of malaria prevention in Sub Saharan Africa.  Another project I'm working on looks at the impact of peer-to-peer short term rentals on long term rental markets and investigates their impact on shifting demographics of neighborhoods.
