I am a Ph.D. candidate in the department of economics at UCSB. My research lies at the intersection of environmental, labor and health economics. Of particular interest to me is how the health decisions of individuals affect others (i.e., the external effects of health behavior). The types of health behaviors I study range from choosing to receive an influenza vaccination, whether or not to go to work while sick, and even the decision to stay indoors during extreme weather.
