Researchers link real-world climate and weather data with a large multinational cohort of HIV patients to examine how extreme weather affects people living with the infectious disease—an approach that may help researchers better understand health risks in populations managing endemic diseases. The research is led by Dr. Sophia Arabadjis, a UCSB Geography graduate, former Broom Center for Demography Graduate Associate, and current postdoctoral researcher at CUNY.
